Getting there
Tegel(TXL) and Schönefeld(SXF) are the two airports to fly into.

Berlin has a very good system of public transportation. We will provide you with all  the necessary information with your welcome package once you get here.  

Staying here
The best districts to stay at are:
Kreuzberg & Neuköln
Prenzlauer Berg & Friedrichshain
Schöneberg (former West gay district) 

The city offers many rental appartments and rooms for reasonable prices. Some of them you will find here:
Bed & Breakfast. Also popular are the many hostels in the city. 
We will also let you know any special deals we can organize for you on housing in Berlin. In addition we try to set up hosted housing, but can't promise it for 2011.

General Information

Berlin is the capital city of Germany, and is one of the 16 states of Germany. It has a population of 3.5 million people and is the largest city in the country. 

The city has no real city center but many districts called "Kiez". Berlin is known and liked for its liberal atmosphere, a big and progressive club scene and a large artist community.

Since 2001 Berlin has a openly gay mayor named Klaus Wowereit.
